Intervarsity and Friends Tournament = Success

The tournie went off on Saturday with minimal hitches and everyone had a great day. The eventual official university winners were The Peter Griffith's (GUU) over UQ Voodoo as the sun was setting with a final score or 11 - 8.
This was Griffith's first tournament win in a huge day for Qld Ultimate. Many suspect one of the reasons Griffith took this win, was due to the army of players they bought along, a 20strong team...something not seen too often but a sign of things to come. Their fearless leader Stefan pulverized people all day with hucks.
Also shout out to Plastic Scourgery who were the tournament leaders and undefeated throughout the day, only to give their finals spot to the Griffith team so we could have an all uni final. Legendary.
Thanks to all who helped out and hopefully the first timers at the tournament got a good taste of tournamen ultimate.

UQ League Week 5

Here are the results from week 4 of the league and it can be seen how close the games are getting now that everyone has had some practice: Ghostbusters 15 def. Tyrannosaurus Disc 13
Jackhammers 16 def. Chilli-O's 12
Jagerbombers 13 drew with. Iron Corset 13
Pretty darn close games this week.

A reminder that if you wish to take part as a UQ team member in the intervarsity tournament on the 10th May you will need to let us know by the Thursday 1st May so we can make the teams up for it and for catering purposes.
