THE ROAD TO MELBOURNE and AUGs

G'day everyone,
Just an update on the ROAD to Melbourne and AUGs (R2M+A)
Tonight we had our 1st session down at oval 7 from 17:00 - 18:00.

Attendence:
Bree, Sam, Amy, Peter, Grefa, JJ, TomSteve, Luke, Peter, Christain, Andy, Alex, Chris, Will, Jules and Nat
Let's just say a small but solid start (was it raining?) and do we know any available ladies that are interested ;-)

Remember if you are interested in representing our club and UQ, please come down to Halibut this weekend, training next Wednesday from 17:00 or contact us uqultimate at hotmail dot com

Next Friday - August 1 is still our deadline to have 90% of the team orgainised!! This helps us with training and team bonding but also gets UQ Sport off our back. The first payment will be $150 plus a bunch of paperwork to fill out. If money is "the issue" remember that we are commited to fundraising for AUGs and the club and if you help out then you can reduce you and your team mates costs.

AUGs Selections Incoming

As the year draws onwards, so does the time for Unigames selections, with the start of hostilities in Melbourne beginning on the 28th of September.

AUGs is always an important time for UQ Ultimate, with the selection and training of a team adding to the normal excitement of the local competition, and the chance to bring home the gold at the back of those players minds. Last year we sent down a strong team, and overcame all opposition to claim the title. This year we will be attempting to do the same.



Selections will take place over Wednesday the 23rd of July, Halibut on the 26th and 27th of July, and Wednesday the 30th of July. Both Wednesday sessions run from 5pm to 6pm. Selectors this year will be Peter Allen, Nathan Litzow and Geoff Grundy.

Anyone expecting to be eligable for selections, should be at both Wednesdays, and attending Halibut. If for any reason you can't do this, please send an email to uqultimate at hotmail dot com with the reasons, so that you can be considered for selection.
